There is nothing like fresh snowfall and today the valley looks truly dramatic. Early morning in Srinagar city was so wonderful, so much snow and grey, yet the visuals were unmatched. The streets were full of life, a little slower in the winter but life moves on. Freshly fallen clean white snow is obviously more reflective than this, but I am tempted to baffle my camera’s metering today. The intensity of shades in the grey and whites is amazing !
Heading out towards my site now. The train stops at Qazigund and I just wander around in the snow and loose myself in this wonderful winter season. The snow is tempting and I get off the train, crossing through the snow covered fields, I captured some shots of this beautiful village where the people were engrossed in their daily activities.
From the boulevard of earning for the life to the alley of living the life, streets have their own way of being a part of the life. They share an important, vividly live, space in the tales narrated by the grandparents to the stress and rigorous work of the parents. These lifeless pathways guide us to the living, teach us the struggle and let us stay optimistic about the existence. From the mature knots, monitoring the daily expenses, to the little sparkling eyes, holding the strong immune to support the lives, these busy streets are alone enough to teach the phases and different colours of the being. Ragged faces, poor hearts, disciplined minds, charming beauty, ugly souls, and what not we come across while covering the distance to our destination and then when we tie all in one bouquet it makes up in itself a globe of the life. For this, I call streets an example of the life.
